messages of welcome
When far right violence spread across the UK in August 2024, and hotels housing asylum seekers were targeted with attacks and arson, we put out a simple request: that members of the public send us a message of welcome for us to share with people affected by the attacks. Over 3,000 of you responded in the first few weeks.
We have now delivered your messages of compassion, solidarity and welcome to asylum seekers we work with across the UK, including those who were targeted during the riots, and the movement lives on. We're taking it even further by pasting
Submitting a Message of Welcome is a simple act of kindness and solidarity that can make a huge difference in someone's first experience of the UK, creating a feeling of community and overcoming some of the barriers that keep us apart.
Let's spread a message of love, not hate.
